September 21, 2006, our
new grandson, Jack, was
born in Knoxville, TN.
What a joy.. We
were already blessed
with two grandsons, Jason
and John, and now Jack.
Who can ask for
more!!!!! |

One of my
dreams was to become
a grandmother some
day.
As the years went
by,
I realized that it
was not meant to
be....UNTIL........
In the summer of 2002, we
(Tom and I) met two
beautiful little
boys-Jason, almost
nine, and John,
three and half years
old. I fell in
love with those two
little guys. I
wish I would have
had the joy
of knowing them when
they were born...
In November, 2002,
Rick and Sherri were
married making my
dream come true.
Now I have 2
grandsons that I
love with all my
heart. I love being
a grandma. I am
trying to make all
the memories I can
and play catch up
with the years.
Jason and John are a
joy to have around.
They are very loving
and caring.
They sure have
changed and enriched
my life. Now I
can brag about my
grandchildren, like
any other Grandma,
and I do plenty of
it.
In July of 2004 we had
the boys home with
us for a 10-day
vacation, for the
first time.
We did more in those 10 days that I ever remember doing. I must
admit that I was
"dead" tired when we
took them back
home....but it was
so much fun
and I would not
trade that special
time with them for
anything in the
world.
Tom loves to take
the boys fishing.
Even though I don't
much care about
fishing, I have
joined in the
"expedition" a few
times, and now I go as
often as I can. I
have taken more
pictures of Jason
and John, in the
four years I have
known them, than
many people take in
a life time...They
are such a big part of
my life and I
couldn't think
of it any other way. |

Happiness is having
grandchildren to
love. |

These are a few of
my favorites
pictures I took
of Jason and John... |

Grandma's Brag Book
by
Katherine Nelson
"Just happen to have
them with me..."
This is what I say.
But when it comes
down to it,
I plan it just that
way!
Just happen to have
the pictures
Of my sweet
grandchildren
here---
I like it when folks
say, "He's cute,"
Or, "isn't she a
dear?"
Grandparents keep
these photographs
And show them near
and far...
Their pride is
understandable---
That's how
grandparents are!!!

One
of
my
favorite
pictures-Rick
and
John-2003 |
|
It doesn't make me
feel old to carry
pictures of my
grand-children,
but it does make me
feel old when I
can't see the
pictures without my
glasses.

Don't Look Like A
Grandmother"
The book and the
roses were a gift
from Sherri and Rick
on Mother's Day 2003! |

I Love You Jason
and John
by Grandma (who is
not a poet--lol---March 16,
2005) |
|
In
all my dreams I
wished
For Grandchildren to
have
Until one day a
miracle
Brought you into my
life..
The joy and love you
bring
to everyone around
Make you special
indeed
In grandma's eyes
and heart...
I love your smiling
faces
and those little
hugs you give
I love you for who
you are
My grandsons, my
joy, my pride!
No matter what life
will bring
regardless the
outcome
In your heart always
believe
Grandma's love is
forever...

WHAT IS A
GRANDPARENT
(taken from papers
written by a class
of 8-year-olds)
Usually grandmothers
are fat, but not too
fat to tie your
shoes.
They wear glasses
and funny underwear.
They can take their
teeth and gums out.
Grandparents don't
have to do anything
except be there when
we come
to see them. They
are so old they
shouldn't play hard
or run.
It is
good if they drive
us to the store and
have lots of
quarters for us.
Everybody should try
to have a
grandmother,
especially if you
don't have
television,
because they are the
only grown ups who
like to spend time
with us.
A 6 year old was
asked where his
Grandma lived,
"oh," he said,
She lives at the
Airport, and when we
want her we just go
get her,
then when we're done
having her visit, we
take her back to the
airport...." |
|
Am I proud of my
Grandsons????...YOU
BET I AM!!!!!!
I Love you
guys!!!!!! |
