September 21st, 2006, Jack Thomas Buchanan was born,
our grandson,
our pride and joy.
I have waited a long time for this miracle and he is truly a
gift from God.
Baby Jack, as we affectionately call him, is a beautiful little boy, loved by every one
in the family. His mommy and daddy, Sherri and Rick, couldn't be any happier. It is so touching to see them both love this little boy the way they do. Oh yes, he is spoiled in every sense of the word by all of us...wait until his uncle Jack comes!!!!!.... I will have one more picture to add after Thanksgiving-uncle Jack is coming to meet his new nephew....I know he is as excited about Baby Jack as we are.
His 2 brothers, Jason and John are so proud of their little brother. It is easy to tell
by the pictures below. Jason loves to hold his baby brother and walk him around. As for John, he too loves to hold Baby Jack. Both, Jason and John are wonderful, caring and loving, and it is no surprise to see them loving their little brother the way they do.
As for grandpa and grandma, well, what can I say. I know Tom is proud of his new grandson and so am I. I couldn't wait for this little fellow to be born!
My grandsons are my pride and joy and I am very thankful to have them in my life..
I spent only 10 days with Baby Jack and it was "love at first sight"...It was so hard for me to leave him to come back home.
We now have 3 grandsons to love and spoil and life couldn't be any better....
I can't wait to go back and see how much baby Jack has grown. Rick and Sherri have been very sweet about sending me pictures often... I wish they lived closer so I could see him more often-yet I am thankful it is only a 5-hour drive..
I love you my little "bundle of joy".
I love you all and miss you!

Baby Boy
All the dreams you ever dreamed,
About a baby boy;
Are wrapped up in this bundle of blue,
Who gives you so much joy.
So quickly he will start to grow,
And time will fly so fast.
Just hold tight to his little hand,
And make each moment last.
For soon he'll be a little boy,
With busy hands and dirty face;
Frogs & marbles & puppies in tow,
Running from place to place.
Right now he's fresh from Heaven,
A gift for you to love.
A tiny, sleeping, bundle of blue,
Sent from the Father above.

“Loving a child doesn't mean
giving in to all his whims;
to love him is to bring out
the best in him,
to teach him to love
what is difficult.”

I Hold My Newborn Grandson
Written by Thena Smith
I hold my newborn grandson
In my well-worn hands
Hoping that their roughness
He will understand.
How soft and tender is his skin
How sweet and innocent is he
I cuddle him next to my chest
He means the world to me!
If only time could slow down a bit
And let this moment last
I would shed tears of contentment
For this time moves much too fast!
But for now I hold my little one
And nuzzle his furry head
Content for one brief moment
For my arms to be his bed! |

Precious Face
Written by Thena Smith
Oh what a precious little face
And what a lovely smile
I love to kiss your tiny nose
And hold you for awhile.
For when I see your tiny face
My heart does leaps and twists
Because your little sweetie face
Your grandma can't resist! |
