It has been a year and a half
since Misty has been gone...I miss her still so much.
Even though my heart is not in it, I decided to do this page because
Misty loved Christmas. When I would be baking, the minute she
would hear the oven door open, she would come running and peek from the
corner of the kitchen. She loved to taste fresh baked cookies with her
mommy.
She always had her gifts under the tree just like us, but one
Christmas I made the mistake to wrap her gift in front of her-big
mistake- and then proceeded to put it under the tree. Later on
that day, I found the toy unwrapped in the living room. She loved
so much to unwrap gifts that, sometime, I would let her unwrap some
of mine.
The little doggie stocking I made for you, precious little girl, is
hanging in the same place it always has, and always will be.
However, there is another stocking hanging next to yours this
year...Jessie's.. I thought you would be happy to
know more about him....
We have adopted Jessie, a 9mos old Sheltie-Border Collie mix, on
September 29, 2000. He doesn't replace you, my little
girl,
nothing or no one will ever do, but he is a very loving addition
to our family . This is Jessie's first Christmas and I have no
idea how he will respond, but he is so "nosy" about everything
new that we haven't put any of his gifts under the tree yet. He is
just as spoiled as you were. |
