Darby
February 13,
1995-November

Darby came into
our lives 13-1/2
years ago. He was a
little guy that
everyone said would
never "grow" into
his ears, but he
grew into the hearts
of everyone who met
him.
We will never
forget his love of
soccer or the wag of
his tail as he
waited patiently for
his daily "treat"
from his friend,
Renee.
As his body
aged, his heart and
soul remained young.
This truly made it
ever more difficult
to watch him leave
us.
As we say our
final good-bye, we
know that Darby is
at peace and is once
again playing soccer
over the Rainbow
Bridge.

DOG
When God had made
the earth and sky,
The flowers and the
trees.
He then made all the
animals,
The fish, the birds
and bees.
And when at last
He'd finished,
Not one was quite
the same.
He said, "I'll walk
this world of mine,
And give each one a
name."
And so He traveled
far and wide
And everywhere He
went,
A little creature
followed Him
Until its strength
was spent.
When all were named
upon the earth
And in the sky and
sea.
The little creature
said, "Dear Lord,
There's not one left
for me."
Kindly the Father
said to him,
"I've left you to
the end.
I've turned my own
name back to front
And called you dog,
my friend"

It breaks my
heart to have to
make this page!!
I dedicate it to
my friends,
Lynne and Vi. as
a memorial
to their
wonderful boy.
Darby
practically grew
up in my yard,
since there's
only a fence
separating our
two backyards...
Darby and Jessie
loved to chase
each other along
the fence and
bark (Just like
he used to do
with Misty).
Every day,
Darby, Huey,
Lucky and Cory
waited alongside
the fence for
their cookies...
When they saw me
come out in the
yard, the
barking and
yapping started-
Jessie wasted no
time to join all
of them.
I remember, a
few years back,
Darby found a
hole underneath
my fence. When
I got up he was
in my yard.
Poor little guy,
he was so lost
and had no idea
how he was going
to get back
home..
We miss you very
much "big
guy"...I know
Misty and you
will, once more,
have a ball
together.
