Bandit was my
son Jack's Husky. He was a wonderful but very
independent dog...didn't like to be fenced in. He
loved M&Ms and would steal them from the candy
dish. Bandit had a wonderful disposition.
Toward the end of Snowball's life, Bandit had become his
"eyes"..Snowball was becoming blind with
cataracts . I remember something he did that
really touched me. We were visiting Jack, and when I let
Snowball out in the yard, Bandit went right along with
him and every time Snowball would get too close to a
tree, the fence or what have you, Bandit would place
himself between the obstacle and Snowball and gently
nudge him away...that truly shows love and devotion...Bandit went to Rainbow Bridge way too soon...

Four Feet
I have done mostly what men do,
And pushed it out of my mind;
But I can't forget, if I wanted to,
Four-Feet trotting behind.
Day after day, the whole day through--
Wherever my road inclined--
Four-Feet said, " I am coming with you!"
And trotted along behind.
Now I must go by some other round--
Which I shall never find--
Somewhere that does not carry the sound
Of Four-Feet trotting behind.
Rudyard Kipling
