The first St. Patrick's Day celebration in America was in 1737
hosted by the Charitable Irish Society of Boston.

St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, is one of Christianity's most widely known figures.
But for all his celebrity, his life remains somewhat of a mystery. Many of the stories traditionally associated with St. Patrick, including the famous account of his banishing
all the snakes from Ireland, are false, the products of hundreds of years of exaggerated storytelling.

May you always have...
A sunbeam to warm you,
Good luck to charm you,
And a sheltering angel
So nothing can harm you,
Laughter to cheer you,
Faithful friends near you,
And whenever you pray,
Heaven to hear you.
May your joys
Be deep and many,
May your heart
be light and glad,
May you have the best
St. Patrick's Day
That you have ever had.
