How could you do it, just
leave me there?
In a place with wet floors and walls so bare?
I'm used to squooshy sofas and carpeted floors,
And sleeping in bed with you behind closed doors.
Are you coming back to take me back home?
It seems like you've been gone for oh so long.
Did you mean to leave me? Must be a long trip.
I'm starting to worry, I didn't think you'd forget.
Was it because I ruined that rug?
Or 'cause I messed up your panty hose with that little tug?
I thought you'd like it, that I wanted to play,
I've been punished enough. Please don't make me stay!
Some of the others here, they didn't have homes,
Looking for food, on the streets, they roamed.
They finally bothered one person too much,
And found themselves in the cage in a truck.
And here they ended, but they had no home,
So their fate may be better than living alone.
It's different for me, I lived with you,
But you just dumped me, out of the blue.
I feel so different from them, but we're one in the same.
We're homeless and friendless, least we're out of the rain.
We're eagerly waiting and dreaming of new,
We're hoping for homes where love is true.
Will you think of me with regret and wonder,
What became of me, will it tear you asunder?
Or will just fool yourself and think I found a home,
When you know there's a good chance that I'm already gone?
I hope you think about it and that you regret,
The way I chased after you and you never forget,
That you left me alone and feeling so sad,
And I still don't know what I did to be bad..............
